Author fees
Article processing charges, waivers and what the fees cover.
The International Institute of Justice and Police Sciences (IIJPS) is a self-supporting, not-for-profit organisation. The publisher and the journal do not carry advertisements. As an open access journal, IJJPS receives no subscription income, so a publication fee covers its operating costs: editorial support and manuscript tracking, communication with authors and reviewers, plagiarism-checking software, review management, layout and typesetting, proofreading, archiving, submission of content to abstracting and indexing services, online hosting, and metadata distribution.
Authors, institutions or funders pay the fee only if a manuscript is accepted for publication. IIJPS firmly rejects predatory practices: payment never guarantees or expedites publication, and no fee is requested before acceptance.
Article processing charges
| Author's country | Fee (USD) |
|---|---|
| Low-income countries | $75 |
| South Asian countries (India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Maldives) | $200 |
| Middle-income countries | $300 |
| High-income countries | $450 |
Waivers and discounts
Authors from low-income countries facing financial constraints may ask the editorial office for a waiver or an additional discount. Requests are considered case by case, so that no deserving research is excluded for financial reasons. Write to justicepolicejournal@gmail.com.
Payment
Fees are payable only after acceptance. Authors receive an invoice with payment instructions once the acceptance decision has been communicated.
What the fee covers

All articles are free to read online immediately on publication under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) licence.
Changes to fees
